Dean’s word

Dear students of the Faculty of Physical Education at Benha University,

I take this opportunity at the beginning of the new academic year to congratulate all Senior and Junior students on the start of this academic year. To our new students, I am particularly pleased to congratulate you on starting your first university year. I commend your choice of a career in physical education, as you are the future athletes who will bear the responsibility of uplifting our nation. You are the descendants of the builders of the pyramids and great civilizations, and you are called to follow the path that will elevate our beloved Egypt to the forefront of modern civilizations.

As you transition from the secondary stage, where you have achieved commendable excellence, to the university stage, we hope for your continued success and advancement. You are undergoing significant transformations; first, you are moving from a phase characterized by supervision and guidance at home and school to a stage that offers you greater freedom. This freedom should be accompanied by a heightened sense of responsibility on your part to realize its potential in developing your creative and innovative capabilities, rather than, leading to disorder or loss.

Moreover, as you move from secondary education to university, you will find that the role of the university is not merely to provide you with available information, as this information are rapidly changing. Instead, the university's role is to equip you with the skills to search for information and to adapt it for your benefit. The university's mission is not just to supply you with knowledge but to empower you with the ability, skills, and mindset necessary for lifelong learning and a successful career.

I assure you that the opportunity is ripe for you to benefit from these transformations and adapt accordingly. Your faculty boasts distinguished professors who represent the elite of the teaching staff in Egypt, the Middle East, and even globally. They have contributed significantly to sports in Egypt and the Arab world, and it is essential that you benefit from their knowledge and extensive experience. The path to success begins with engaging with your professors in lectures, participating in training, and continuously exploring the latest technologies through computer networks.

We are all working to prepare qualified youth to work in their respective fields in ways that benefit themselves, their families, and their country.

Dear students, your first year, as you step onto the path of joining the college family, offers you the chance to study some fundamental sciences that you will later recognize as vital in sports applications. This year is also an opportunity for you to closely familiarize yourselves with various sports specializations, allowing each of you to choose the specialization that aligns with your interests and abilities. Therefore, I urge you to seize every opportunity available to learn about these specializations, whether through certain courses or the general lectures and seminars offered by the college aimed at informing you about the necessary skills for success in your chosen field of study and work.

Your college understands the importance of youth in society and is keen to provide what is necessary to build a balanced personality that seeks to enhance knowledge in sports while also participating in various other activities that align with your personal inclinations. I invite you to explore the different activities within the college to choose what suits you.

Dear students, I also encourage you to embark on the path of positive social engagement by participating in the selection of your representatives in the Student Union as a practical training exercise in practicing the democracy that our society has chosen as its path. I remind you that many professors and graduates of this esteemed college have held leadership positions in various fields (scientific, political, social, etc.) and have worked together to advance Egypt steadily along the path of progress and development. One day, it will be your turn to take the helm of leadership in society, so prepare yourselves for that day.

Dear students, I pray that God grants success to everyone's efforts and that your studies at the college are fruitful, successful, and filled with happy memories.
