Prof. Nasser Al-Ghizawy, President of Benha University, inaugurated the conference titled "Professional Empowerment and Career Advancement in Preparation for the Future of Work," organized by the university's Career Development Center at the university's campus in Al-Obour.
The event was attended by Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, along with several academic and administrative leaders from the university.
Prof. Nasser Al-Ghizawy stated that professional empowerment is not just a policy or program, but a comprehensive vision aimed at equipping individuals with the skills and opportunities that make them active partners in development and capable leaders of innovation and change. Prof. Gehan Abdel Hady added that Benha University places great importance on linking educational outcomes with labor market needs and enhancing our youth's readiness for the future. She noted that today's job market is witnessing rapid changes due to technological advancement and digital transformation, which requires all of us—institutions and individuals—to reconsider the skills and knowledge we possess and continuously work on their development.
The Vice President confirmed that this conference aims to affirm the university's role not only as an educational institution but also as a key partner in preparing competitive and innovative cadres by developing professional skills, promoting a culture of continuous learning, and building bridges of communication with various sectors of work. during the conference's first session titled "Empowering Youth for the Future of Work: From Skills to Opportunities," Prof. Rasha Sharaf, Secretary-General of the Education Development Fund at the Prime Minister's Office, spoke on "Future Work Trends in the World," addressing the major global transformations in the labor market and the role of education and professional development in preparing cadres capable of meeting future demands, thus enhancing employment opportunities and empowering youth.
Also speaking was Prof. Tarek Farouk Maarek, Deputy Executive Director of the Industrial Modernization Center, who delivered a speech titled "Sustainability and Resource Management in the Industrial Sector," discussing strategies to enhance optimal resource utilization, achieve industrial sustainability, and the role of innovation and modernization in improving the efficiency of the Egyptian industry and meeting future demands.
Prof. Mohamed Watani, President of the Labor University and Consultant to the Supreme Council of Technological Education, presented a talk titled "Technological Universities in Egypt: A Comprehensive Vision for Qualifying Youth for the Modern Labor Market in the Era of Digital Transformation," highlighting the strategic role of technological universities in building qualified cadres with advanced practical and technical skills capable of competing and supporting sustainable development and digital transformation. The second discussion session featured a lecture on "Integrating Scientific Research, Entrepreneurship, and Digital Transformation for Sustainable Development," presented by Prof. Stephen Lameman, Director of International Cooperation and Agreements at Canterbury Christ Church University, who spoke on "The Impact of Cross-Border Education Programs on Increasing Employment Opportunities," addressing the role of cross-border education programs in enhancing graduates'readiness for the international labor market, building global skills, and linking academic education with employment and professional development needs in a rapidly changing world.

President of Benha University: Reduction of Enrollment Fees for the Benha-Wuhan College of Graduate Studies for Egyptian Students
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced an unprecedented agreement with Wuhan University in China to significantly reduce tuition fees for students at the Benha-Wuhan College of Graduate Studies. This initiative aims to provide high-quality international education in partnership with a globally recognized university ranked among the top 100 worldwide.
The President explained that the standard tuition fees at Wuhan University amount to approximately $6,200 annually, including accommodation. However, these fees have been substantially reduced for students of the college, with an additional exceptional discount of 50% on the reduced fees specifically for the first batch of Egyptian students.
He indicated that, under this agreement, the total annual fees after all discounts would be around 55,000 Egyptian pounds, covering the expenses of both Benha and Wuhan universities, as well as accommodation fees in China for one year. This makes it the most affordable international education option in Egypt, suitable for middle-income Egyptian families.
Prof. El-Gizawy added that it was agreed to limit enrollment this year to a maximum of 60 students per program to ensure adherence to the discounts and maintain the quality of the educational process.

Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, participated in a meeting to discuss the executive steps for establishing the Food University. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and with the participation of a number of leaders from both ministries, universities, and research centers.
El-Gizawy praised the idea of establishing the Food University, which represents an advanced model of specialized universities adopted by the state. It reflects a clear direction towards creating a new generation of universities based on interdisciplinary sciences and linking education with scientific research and practical application, serving the state's priorities in areas such as food security, water resource management, and sustainable development.
It is worth noting that the Food University project is part of the Education Development Fund's vision to develop a modern educational system based on project-based learning, international partnerships, and the employment of modern technologies. This contributes to achieving the goals of Egypt's Vision 2030 and enhances Egypt's position as a regional hub for specialized education and scientific research in the fields of food and sustainable agriculture.
The Food University includes five specialized colleges covering Smart Agriculture, Animal Production, Water Resource Management, Food Process Technology, and Agricultural Mechanization. It also includes a Food Research Center and an Entrepreneurship Incubator, in partnership with Hiroshima University of Japan and in cooperation with Cairo University and Benha University. This ensures the provision of high-quality education that combines academic qualification and practical training.
