Services provided by the Information Technology Unit
The following is a list of services provided by the Electronic Services Unit to students, staff, faculty members, and their assistants:
First, for students:
Basic Student Services:
1- Academic Email: Creating and activating student accounts and email addresses.
2- Technical Support: Troubleshooting network and hardware issues (computers, printers), and updating software and systems (such as Windows, Office).
Electronic Portals: Updating them with important information such as schedules, results, activities, and announcements.
3- Internet Networks: Providing wired and wireless (Wi-Fi) network access points within the college.
4- E-Learning Platforms: Supporting and activating platforms such as Thinqi for distance learning and online courses.
Student Services Applications: Providing access to electronic payment platforms, exam results, seating numbers, and various electronic forms.
5- Egyptian Knowledge Bank: Creating student accounts to benefit from global databases and research resources.
6- Software Provision: Activating Microsoft Office software licenses and providing antivirus software.
Second: For Faculty Members: Connecting internet access to faculty offices for email communication, searching global databases, and entering individual academic data.
Repairing network malfunctions anywhere in the college. This includes installing and updating antivirus software on network-connected computers as needed.
Assisting in updating all faculty members' data by providing up-to-date information for each individual, including their general and specific areas of specialization.
Encouraging faculty members and teaching assistants to create Google Scholar pages showcasing their scholarly activity and assisting them in this process.
Promoting faculty members and their assistants to utilize Google's services.
Encouraging faculty members to develop courses that meet established standards for conversion into online courses.
Third: For College Staff: Connecting network access to administrative offices to enable staff to access electronic systems, enter data, and generate required reports. Assisting all employees using electronic systems in resolving any problems they encounter while working on these systems, and troubleshooting any malfunctions that occur during their use.
Repairing any malfunctions in the computer equipment and network connected to the administrative offices.
Recording assignments and work permits, generating daily absence reports, and preparing required reports through the electronic attendance and departure system.
