Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, conducted a tour of the College of Sports Science and the College of Law, accompanied by :
• Prof. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development,
• Prof. Mohamed Mansour, Dean of the College of Law,
• Prof. Tamer Arafa, Acting Dean of the College of Sports Science,
• With the vices of both colleges.
The university president inspected the date palm planting activities as part of the presidential initiative launched by His Excellency Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to plant 100 million trees to address challenges and climate changes, increase green spaces, raise environmental awareness, and achieve economic benefits from date production within the university.
Prof. El-Gizawy noted that the university adopts the model of a productive university, reflecting its community service role by providing products and goods at reduced prices. Prof. Taha Ashour added that the date palm planting on the university campus in Kafr Saad reflects the university's community role in preserving the environment and providing a suitable climate, as well as increasing the green area on campus, which consequently reduces the carbon footprint.
The president also inspected the new building of the College of Specific Education and Applied Arts, monitoring the progress of work and emphasizing the importance of adhering to the specified timelines for completion. he inspected maintenance work and the renewal of drainage lines for the administrative building of the College of Law, as well as the landscaping efforts within the college.
