Scientific Research at BU on "Hybrid Electric Power"
Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches' Affairs pursued at the Faculty of Engineering in Benha one of the research projects funding by the University and aiming to produce renewable energy.
El Gizawy said that research project aims to produce hybrid electric power units from solar and wind energies that can be used in tourist villages on the northern coast or on the Red Sea coast.
Training Course for Faculty Members on "Laboratory Safety
The Faculty and Leadership Development Center "FLDC" at Benha University organized a training course about "Laboratory Safety" withing the training programs provided by the Center during current September. It is worth mentioning that the course had been held under the patron of Prof. Dr. Gamal El Saeed, the University President. In the same context, Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that the course discussed the concept of the laboratory safety and the rules security in laboratories
A Scientific Conference at Benha University in Sep27-28, 2020
In the light of keeping pace with scientific and technological development in the field of applied sciences and using it in the sustainable development; the Faculty of Science, Benha University will organize its annual conference about the applied arts and the sustainable development under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Gamal El Saeed, the University President in the duration from Sep27 to 28, 2020 at the University Great Celebration Hall. In this regard, Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches'Affairs said that the conference will be organized with taking all the appropriate precautionary measures, adding that the conference aims to exchange experiences among the participants and present the latest applied scientific researches that achieve the goals of sustainable development.
Online Training Course about Microsoft Teams
The Egyptian Universities Network at the Electronic and Knowledge Service Center - Supreme Council of Universities with cooperation of Microsoft will organize online training course about the activation and using of Microsoft Teams platform in the frame of its role to provide the technical support for universities as well as the awareness and technical training for the academic and research community, to facilitate the educational process. The training will be held on Monday, Sep14 and Tuesday, Sep15, 2020 and will be replayed on Monday, Sep21 and Tuesday, Sep22, 2020 to provide the opportunity for all faculty members and managers of university e-mail services in various universities, faculties and regions to attend.
BU President receives the Secretary General of SCU
Dr. Gamal El Saeed, Benha University President has received today Dr. Mohamed Latif, the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities "SCU" in the presence of Major General Abdel Hamid El Hagan, Qalyoubia Governor; Dr. Hussien Almaghrabi, the University Vice-president for Education and Students` Affairs; Dr. Randa Mustafa, the University Vice-president for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs; Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches'Affairs; and Ms. Samia Abdel Hamid, the University Secretary General on the margins of the meeting of the SCU Council which hosted by the University.
Students of 24 Egyptian Universities participate in the Summer School for Space Science
With collaboration of the Egyptian Space Agency "ESA", the events of the Summer School for Space Science have been launched today by participation of students from 24 Egyptian universities at the branch of Benha University in Obour city. It is worth mentioning that events have been launched under the auspices of Dr. Gamal El Saeed, the University President and Dr. Mohamed El-Koosy, the Executive Director of ESA. El Saeed said that more than 2000 students at the level of the Egyptian Universities had applied for the Summer School and 400 of them have been chosen to attend the training courses indicating that the University has provided all of its capabilities in cooperation with ESA to host the summer training courses. He said also that all precautionary measures have been taken by disinfecting and sterilizing all halls in which students will be trained, adding that the University Hostel in Shubra has received the delegations of universities participating in the events. Benha University opens the Summer School for Space Science tomorrow
Prof. Dr. Gamal El Saeed, Benha University President said that events of the Summer School for Space Science will be opened tomorrow at Obour Campus with collaboration of the Egyptian Space Agency.
He said also that all precautionary measures have been taken by disinfecting and sterilizing all halls in which students will be trained, adding that the University Hostel in Shubra has received the delegations of universities participating in the events.
In the same context; Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that the Summer School in the field of science and technology of space and satellite aims to spread knowledge of space science among Egyptian university students, to link their academic studies with practical reality.
El Gizawy added that students of 24 Egyptian universities take part in this summer school, alongside 35 students from the Faculties of "Engineering - Computers and Artificial Intelligence" at Benha University.
El Gizawy said also that the theoretical part of the summer school started via distance learning on the videoconference platform "Zoom" and the practical classes will start tomorrow at Obour Campus by dividing the applicants into six different training groups, and each trainee will be required to submit a practical project that will be evaluated by professionals in that field.
BU hosts a Meeting for EOA throughout Zoom Application
Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that the Department of Orthopedic at the Faculty of Medicine has organized the monthly medical meeting of the Egyptian Orthopedic Association "EOA" throughout Zoom application which discussed 20 different cases of orthopedic diseases and surgery. It is worth mentioning that the meeting has been hold under the patron of Prof. Dr. Gamal El Saeed, the University President and attended by Prof. Dr. Gamal Eladawy, the Former Minister of Health and the Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Medicine; Prof. Dr. Gamal Hosni, the Head of EOA; and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Elkady, the Dean of the Faculty.
CSC grants the Distinguished Student Award 2019 to a Researcher from Benha University
Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that the China Scholarship Council (CSC) has granted the Distinguished Student Award 2019 to the Researcher/ Ibrahim Khalifa, the Lecturer at the Department of Food Industries at the Faculty of Agriculture in Moshtohor. It is worth mentioning that Khalifa had been granted a scholarship to get the PhD from Central China University upon cooperation with Benha University in the duration from 2016 to 2019.
BU maintains Its World Ranking in Times 2021
Prof. Dr. Gamal El Saeed, Benha University President said that the Times Higher Education World University Rankings has announced for the new ranking of 2021 indicating that the University has occupied the rank 801 – 1000 among 527 universities in the world and 21 universities in Egypt at 4th group. Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that according to that ranking, the University has maintained its world place occupied in 2020 with improvement in its performance at the citation and teaching, as well as the international outlook comparing with the previous year.
