Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, affirmed that the Chinese President's visit to Egypt represents a significant milestone in the strategic relations between the two countries, reflecting the depth of the Egyptian-Chinese partnership across various fields, particularly higher education and scientific research. He noted that Benha University is among the leading Egyptian universities in building distinguished academic and research partnerships with several world-class Chinese universities, and is a founding member of the Executive Office of the Silk Road Universities Alliance, which is chaired by Xi'an Jiaotong University.

Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy stated that Benha University has successfully established a broad network of scientific cooperation with Chinese universities over the past years, opening new horizons for students, researchers, and faculty members to benefit from advanced Chinese expertise in technology, innovation, artificial intelligence, engineering, and applied sciences.
The university president explained that Wuhan University is one of Benha University's most prominent strategic partners, with cooperation between the two institutions dating back to 2016. This collaboration has included the signing and renewal of memoranda of understanding and student exchange agreements, the provision of scholarships for students and graduates, and cooperation in various research and academic fields. This cooperation has resulted in the establishment of a joint college, the Benha-Wuhan Graduate School, located on the university's campus in El-Obour City. This school offers dual degrees in remote sensing, geographic information systems, international business administration, and several multidisciplinary nursing programs.
He added that the university also maintains strong cooperative relations with Wuhan University of Technology, which have resulted in the implementation of joint programs in scientific research, education, and academic exchange over more than ten years, particularly in engineering and information technology, in addition to participation in international scientific conferences and seminars. Al-Gizawy pointed out that Benha University recently signed a cooperation agreement with Foshan University in China, encompassing scientific and cultural exchange, enhanced research collaboration among faculty members, and the implementation of joint research projects and laboratories. This supports the university's drive towards international openness and strengthens its presence on the global academic stage. Benha University also maintains strong ties with Huazhong Agricultural University, which has provided dozens of scholarships to Benha University affiliates, in addition to joint research projects.
The President of Benha University emphasized that cooperation with Chinese universities extends beyond student and researcher exchanges to include building long-term research partnerships, developing academic programs, transferring technology, and supporting innovation and entrepreneurship. This aligns with the Egyptian state's vision for achieving sustainable development and building a knowledge-based economy.
Dr. Nasser Al-Gizawy concluded his remarks by affirming that Egyptian-Chinese relations are witnessing an unprecedented phase of growth and prosperity. He stated that Benha University is keen to continue expanding cooperation with prestigious Chinese educational institutions, contributing to the development of globally competitive graduates and enhancing the university's regional and international standing. This embodies the vital role of higher education as a bridge for communication and understanding between the Egyptian and Chinese peoples.
