The President of Benha University inspects the annual flower exhibition in its third edition
Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, inspected the activities of the third edition of the Flower Exhibition, which was organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the university.
This took place in the presence of Dr. Gihan Abdel-Hadi, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Taha Ashour, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Mohamed Mansour, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. El-Sayed Khater, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture in Moshtohor, Dr. Tamer Arafa, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Dr. Faten Shafiq, Dr. Hani Zakaria, and Dr. Mohamed Shaaban, Vice Deans of the Faculties of Nursing, Sports Sciences, and Agriculture for Community Service and Environmental Development, and was organized by Professor Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and a number of faculty members and university students.
Dr. Nasser Al-Jizawi confirmed that the flower exhibition, which is being organized by the university in its third session, comes within the framework of the 100 Million Trees Initiative, with the aim of informing university staff and the local community about the different types of fruit trees and plants.
During the tour, the university president and his companions inspected the exhibition pavilions, which included many different and varied flower plants and natural roses, medicinal and aromatic plants, seedlings, ornamental plants of all kinds, and agricultural raw materials and supplies.
For his part, Dr. Taha Ashour added that the exhibition is part of the activities of the Community Service and Environmental Development sector at the university.
The two-day event, which includes the participation of the Faculty of Agriculture in Moshtohor and a number of exhibitors, features more than 300 types of ornamental plants. It aims to promote a culture of afforestation and raise awareness about how to choose suitable plants for each location, as well as how to plant and care for them. The exhibit's products are available to the university community and the wider community at reasonable prices.
