Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that a delegation of university students visited the Egyptian Parliament. The student delegation was accompanied by MP Amira El-Adly, Prof. Khaled Eissawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the university, and Prof. Tahani Rushdy, Coordinator of Student Activities at the Faculty of Agriculture, who supervised the parliamentary simulation training.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy stated that the visit aimed to enhance students' political awareness and help them understand the role of the Parliament in the legislative and oversight processes. This initiative is intended to strengthen their appreciation of parliamentary work and develop their leadership skills, contributing to the preparation of young leaders capable of taking on executive positions in the future.
He also highlighted that the university organized a parliamentary simulation model for students to promote national belonging by instilling loyalty and attachment to the homeland through understanding the role of governmental institutions in community development.
The simulation model reviewed several requests for information submitted by MPs, which were addressed by the relevant ministers. Various MPs raised inquiries to the Ministers of Agriculture, Social Solidarity, Youth and Sports, and Housing.
The visit included an introductory tour of the council's halls and corridors, including the Pharaonic Hall, the museum, and the library, where students received comprehensive explanations about the history of parliamentary life in Egypt.
